
Submission Guidelines:

- Any piece submitted to Tuxedo is expected to be the creator’s own original work, and not previously published material.
- We accept poetry, prose, art, and audio submissions.
- We take three submissions per participant.
- For our writers, our word limit is 2,500 words per submission.
- We have opened our form here to submit to our Spring 2023 Issue, by April 15th. You can check us out on Instagram @tuxedoartsjournal or email us at tuxedo@dominican.edu for more information.
- If you plan to submit an original piece for the Penguin Prize, please email your submission to tuxedo@dominican.edu. Our prompt is “Out of the Unexpected!” We are accepting drawings, photography and graphic design submissions!

- Tuxedo is a student-run open access arts journal. Our purpose is to display a range of art and media forms, both from within the Dominican University of California and the greater community.

- Tuxedo editing staff retains editorial control over all material submitted. All copyright reverts to original authors and creators.

- Tuxedo acquires one time electronic rights. Submissions accepted will be published in a single issue. Issue content will become accessible via the journal’s archives following its initial publication.
